With travel and hospitality strong in our portfolio, our newly formed interactive design agency took on delivery of the end-to-end experience for the yet-to-launch orbitz.com. After a successful launch and continued growth and maintenance of the site, we embarked on a brand/UI update to build an all-encompassing design system to provide flexibility for additional verticals and new features.
After a hiatus, I joined Orbitz and worked closely with vertical leads to evolve their products. Using our agency’s design system, I supported packaging, deals, top-of-funnel offers for hotel and air, and bottom-of-funnel checkout where we learned that customers actually do not like everything on one page. Highlights include illustrating seat maps and designing corporate cycling jerseys.
